Profiles in History Hollywood Auction 43 Prices Realised

Several Irwin Allen related items went under the hammer at the Profiles in History auction this weekend.  Here’s how much each item sold for (not including buyer’s premium, taxes and fees):

Steve Burton Costume: $6,500

Betty Hamilton Costume: $4,000

John Robinson Season 1 Tunic: $6,000

John Robinson Season 3 Tunic: $11,000

Set of 90 original, autographed Lost in Space Scripts: $30,000

Profiles in History Hollywood Auction 43

Two original Land of the Giants costumes (Steve Burton and Betty Hamilton uniforms), two Lost in Space Tunics (John Robinson Season 1 and Season 3), and a set of 90 autographed original Lost in Space Scripts are being auctioned at the Profiles in History Hollywood Auction 43 on 17-18 December 2010.

Lost in Space Encyclopedia


As Christmas approaches, we start thinking about what we can give our loved ones as a Christmas present.  This year, if your nearest and dearest happen to be Lost in Space fans, one option is the new Lost in Space Encyclopedia (edited by Flint Mitchell and William E. Anchors) which has just come out.

 

Hollywood Treasure

There is a great new show on the Syfy Channel at the moment called Hollywood Treasure.  It is a reality show about current and future auctions at Profiles in HistoryProfiles in History is a highly regarded Hollywood auction company that has sold many famous Irwin Allen props and costumes.  Profiles in History has very kindly permitted us to showcase their Irwin Allen auctions in our galleries. The upcoming Hollywood Auction #43 (17-18 December 2010) features a number of Irwin Allen items.  More to follow on this shortly.  Hollywood Treasure airs on SyFy Channel, Wednesday night 10pm.

The Bolt Who Screwed Christmas DVD Release

Received the following news today courtesy of Dave Goudsward.

Just in time for the holidays, The Bolt Who Screwed Christmas is out on DVD.

This features Jonathan Harris’ last performance, with posthumous collaboration by his Lost in Space co-stars, Bill, Marta and Angela.

The Bolt Who Screwed Christmas is a short animation film with a long list of awards, including Winner 1st Place Animated Comedy Dragon*Con 2010, winner of Three 2010 Silver Telly Awards and winner of a 2010 Accolade Award of Merit for Animation.

Bonus features include The Bolt Who Screwed Christmas with isolated music only track, storyboards with early audio, early animation tests and audio outtakes from Jonathan, Tress MacNeille (The Simpsons, Futurama), Bill, Marta and Angela.

Also included, the new short film by John Wardlaw and Adny Angrand, NO! NOT THE CHICKEN! (unrated, adult language) bring the DVD up to a full hour of content.
