The Fantasy Worlds of Irwin Allen is to be broadcast in the UK on BBC4 on Wednesday 16th December at 12am.

Also airing over the next month are the movie version of Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea (on Sky Movies Sci-Fi/Horror Channel), The Towering Inferno (on TCM), and The Story of Mankind (on TCM).

The Big Circus is to be shown on BBC2 in the UK on Saturday 5th December at 2.45pm.  This is the first British airing of the movie in many, many years.

The Big Circus stars Victor Mature, Vincent Price, Rhonda Fleming, Peter Lorre, Kathryn Grant, Red Buttons, and was the first Irwin Allen movie that costume designer Paul Zastupnevich worked on.

If you are a movie fan, you can’t go wrong with having some of the best disaster movies in your collection including The Poseidon Adventure and Beyond the Poseidon Adventure.

We thought we’d have a bit of fun in the run up to Christmas and come up with Christmas present suggestions for the Irwin Allen connoisseur.  If we have time, we will try to present a different idea each day.
